Aloha Valley has gone through several logo and color changes since 2001. Too many in fact! This time, this is it! Yeah right?!?!?! Fo’ real kine, this is the one! Even though I (and website) have established myself within the community I’ve struggled all these years to come up with a branding (logo) that totally describes what Aloha Valley is.

This green abstract shape represents several aspects of Aloha Valley.

Green Color:
The color of life, renewal, nature, and energy, is associated with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness, safety, fertility, and environment. Green is also traditionally associated with money & finances.

Geomarker Shape:
The shape is iconic in today’s world of high tech gadgets. It pin points or marks locations on digital interactive maps. It’s a way to mark a point of destination. Through the years Aloha Valley got it’s reputation as a Las Vegas Hawaiian Business Directory. Before Yelp, before Foursquare, Aloha Valley was the digital yellowpages for Las Vegas Hawaiians. Hahahaha I couldn’t compare to their corporate trillions so I restructured, reformatted the way Aloha Valley relayed information. Way of subject here…

Inner Design:
Inside the geomarker shape is a spiral-like design. Look closely, it’s a 9, number 9. As in 9th Island, 9th Island Las Vegas. That same spiral represents an edible Hawaiian fern called Ho‘i‘o (Big Island), Pohole (Maui). Hawaii-Japanese call it Warabi, while Hawaii-Filipino’s call it Pako. Different names, different nationalities, it represents diversity. Same as Hawai’i, same as the Local people. In Aotearoa the Māori people call it koru. The koru spiral symbolizes new life, growth, strength and peace. There you go, more diversity.
