Valentine’s weekend brought warmer than normal temperatures to the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding desert. Las Vegas 9th Islanders took advantage, enjoying mid to high 70 degree sunshine hanging out island style. Moku’eiwa Hui, a Hawaiian style 4×4 truck club hosted an “Island Style Meet & Greet” at Red Ridge Park. In typical Aloha Spirit the meet & greet was open to all Hawaii, Guam and non-islander motor enthusiast with 4×4’s, minitrucks, lowriders, VW’s, imports and motorcycles. The smell of marinated BBQ lingering, island music throughout, and a showcase of island rides made for a great day to relax at the park with family & friends.

Those craving a little more adventure headed a couple of hours west of Las Vegas just over the California border to play in the Mojave Desert sand at the Dumont Dunes.
